The experienced midfielder will not be available for a number of weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in midweek
Manchester United midfielder Casemiro will be out for several weeks following a hamstring injury sustained on Wednesday.
The Brazil international, who joined the club from Real Madrid in August 2022, was brought off at half-time during Wednesday night's 3-0 Carabao Cup defeat to Newcastle United at Old Trafford. He was replaced at the interval by summer signing Sofyan Amrabat.
Casemiro was making his first appearance for the Red Devils since the 2-1 win over Brentford on October 7 after missing three matches through injury.

Man United deny Zidane rumours, keep trust in Ten Hag
Manchester United have denounced the rumours that claim they are in search of a replacement for Ten Hag.
He suffered an ankle problem during last month's international break, ruling him out of the fixtures against Sheffield United, FC Copenhagen and Manchester City, though he was suspended for the Copenhagen clash regardless.
Explaining why the midfielder had gone off at half-time against Newcastle, United manager Erik ten Hag, speaking in his post-match press conference, said: "He was injured. Just before half-time, that is why we have to take him off."
The Dutchman later added that he would definitely miss Saturday's trip to Craven Cottage to face Fulham. Now officially ruled out for 'several weeks', it remains to be seen when he may return.

No refund! Chelsea fans troll Man Utd, Arsenal over signing Mason Mount and Havertz
Mason Mount and Kai Havertz have been disappointing for Manchester United and Arsenal respectively.
“The Brazilian midfielder was withdrawn at half-time due to the issue, and subsequent assessment has revealed a strain that will keep him out for a number of weeks,” United said via a statement on the club’s website.
The former Madrid star, who sported the captain's armband on Wednesday night, has made 12 appearances for United so far this season, scoring four goals, meaning he is currently the club's leading marksman so far this term. Despite that fact, his performance levels have been well below the standard he set last season.
He joined United on an initial four-year deal last year and has so far made a total of 63 appearances for the club, chipping in with 11 goals and seven assists.
