Just weeks ago, Mayra Ramírez's transfer from Levante to Chelsea FC set a new benchmark with a fee of €450,000 plus €50,000 in extras (approximately $537,000).
However, Kundananji's signing is now a major highlight of a record-breaking period for women's football, with international transfer fees reaching a staggering $2.1 million in the January transfer window, according to a report from FIFA.
