Mourinho casts doubt over Roma future after Europa League final defeat to Sevilla
Former Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho leaves his Roma future up in the air with recent statement.
The game was decided in penalties after 120 minutes of action as Sevilla emerged victorious in the 4-1 shootouts.
The loss to Roma means Mourinho has lost in his first final in an European competition in his blossoming managerial career.
What Mourinho did after the receiving
After the medals were presented to Roma, Mourinho in his usual fashion took the ring off his neck and walked out of the podium.
The Portuguese manager then threw his medal to a young fan at the Puskas Arena in Bucharest who was excited to get precious stone.
Speaking to the RomaPress after the Mourinho said:
“Tonight we died of mental and physical fatigue, there are so many episodes to talk about. Without the trophy in our hands, we are tired and proud.
“You can lose a game, but never your professionalism. I won five finals and lost this one, but I’ve never been more proud than I am tonight. The guys gave it all.”
