Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is said to prefer staying at Roma, amid Saudi Arabia's interest.
AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly made a U-turn and now desires a contract extension with the Giallorosi.
The 62-year-old manager led Roma to two consecutive European finals, the Conference League and the Europa League; they won the former and controversially lost the latter; however, despite this success, his contract with the capital club runs out at the end of the season.

Mourinho desires continuation
The Portuguese has been frustrated with the Roma hierarchy over the perceived lack of or minimal investment in the club.
The former Chelsea boss has also been courted by the Saudi Professional League. He turned them down this summer, but recent comments suggest he has a future in the Gulf.
However, according to II Tutto, Jose is happy with the work he is doing at Roma, and despite his displeasure with the board, he desires a contract extension and has been piling pressure on the club’s leadership.
Roma have had a rocky start to the season, and with the Giallorossi said to be looking in the market for a possible replacement, the club’s leadership, spearheaded by president Dan Friedkin, could be happy to see Mourinho’s contract out.
As Pulse Sports reported previously, Mourinho claims that Cristiano Ronaldo has convinced him about Saudi Arabia amid reports of a sensational move to Pro League side Al-Ittihad.
Mourinho has been on the radar of Al-Ittihad since he revealed he received the ‘biggest and craziest’ offer in coaching history. However, according to the latest rumour, the Roma boss is back in Ittihad’s plans after the club dismissed their manager Nuno Santo.
