Transfer News: AS Roma Eye Super Eagles Forward
Roma is set to sign Super Eagles forward, Terem Moffi as a possible replacement for Lukaku.
Moffi, 25, is currently on the books of OGC Nice, a Ligue 1 side he joined permanently in the summer of 2023 from Lorient after an initial six-month loan. The Nigerian striker has had a commendable first-and-half season for Le Gym, but could be on his way out.
Fenerbahce missed out on the Turkish Super Lig title by three points to rivals Galatasaray, despite losing a mere game and amassing 99 points.
They went on to sack Ismail Kartal as coach, replacing him with the charismatic Jose Mourinho. After losing the title, they also recently lost forward Miichy Batshuayi to the Cim-bom and are now in the market for a striker.
Moffi for Nice
The 25-year-old striker played the 2022/23 season for both Lorient and Nice. With an impressive tally of 12 goals in 18 games for Lorient, Nice decided to snap him up in the winter transfer window of that season.
They signed him on an initial loan, and he scored nine goals in 20 games for Nice. In his first full season, the 2023/24 campaign, he scored 11 goals in 30 matches.
