The 30-year-old, who has played a pivotal role as his Kitara FC side earned promotion back to the top flight and also won the FUFA Big League title, received mixed reactions after he dedicated his FUFA Big League medal to the first son and leader of the MK Movement General Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

Uganda Cranes forward Paul Mucureezi could be harboring political ambitions if the revelations he made on his official Twitter handle are anything to go by with.

It all started when renowned events promoter Balaam Ateenyi Barugahara, the MK Movement chairman for the western region, congratulated Mucureezi for winning the Big League via his official Twitter handle.

"Congratulations, our comrade in mighty MK Army & MK Movement Paul Mucureezi, for scoring Kitaara FC's winning goal," Balaaam tweeted.

"On behalf of our supreme leader Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba & the entire MK Army, we are proud of you."

To which the former Vipers and Mbarara City FC forward then shared a reply in which he dedicated his medal to the first son General Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

"Big thanks, my brother Balaam Ateenyi for showing up, and today's medal goes to the supreme leader Muhoozi Kainerugaba."

This writer reached out to Paul Mucureezi for a comment on this matter by press time, but his known numbers went unanswered.

Paul Mucureezi's strike from 12 yards was the difference against Karoo Karungi on Thursday at the Kigaaya Primary School as the Hoima-based side wrapped up their campaign with 61 points after 30 games in the FUFA Big League.

Mbarara City FC and NEC joined Kitara FC as the other teams, which earned promotion to the top flight.
