The Proline FC director opines that this gives them a better opportunity to get the best transfer offers from more recognized clubs.

Ugandan clubs, especially those that can pay players, should learn to keep a hold of their assets a bit longer, says Mujib Kasule.

The Proline FC director opines that this gives them a better opportunity to get the best transfer offers from more recognized clubs.

"Especially those that can afford to care for their players here," Mujib told Pulse Sports.

"Never rush to letting players go to any club simply because they've been promised money."

"It's incumbent on the clubs, and it's their responsibility to make the right decisions for these players," Kasule added.

The coaches' CAF instructor added: "Small European clubs always convince Ugandan clubs to sell their best players on the premise of a forward sale when the bigger European clubs come calling, but we have never seen it happen here."

"So it is better to be patient and wait for the right deal, as long as the club can still afford to pay the player," Mujib noted.

The former KCCA FC and Uganda Cranes forward gave the example of forward Rogers Mato, who is trying to push for a move to Slovenia's NK Bravo.

"With KCCA FC set to play on the continent, if Mato plays well the way he has been, his chances of getting a better deal are much higher in terms of getting to the next step other than going to Eastern Europe."

"KCCA FC should not let it happen; I know the player will sulk and be angry, but he will later realize the club made the right decision for him," Mujib added.

Mato Rogers joined the Kasasiro boys from Proline FC in 2021; he scored eleven league goals for the Lugogo-based side last season.
