Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has summoned 42 players to prepare for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Algeria.
Uganda will play host to the Algerians on June 18th in Cameroon in the do-or-die Group F encounter.
Micho has called about 16 players who were not summoned for the matchdays three and four double-header against Tanzania.
Among the new entrants include SC Villa in-form striker Charles Bbaale, KCCA midfielder Moses Waiswa, Wakiso Giants striker Shariph Kimbowa and goalkeeper Ismael Watenga, who is returning to the team.
Those who have paved the way include goalkeeper Charles Lukwago, defenders Timothy Awany and Livingstone Mulondo, and forwards Sadat Anaku, Steven Sserwadda and Steven Mukwala.
The latter is currently 4th in the scoring charts in the Ghana Premier League with 11 goals, three behind the leading marksman Abednego Tetteh.
Uganda sits third on the table with four points, the same as Tanzania, who are second and two above Niger.
