Signed from Kampala's 4th division side, Kamwokya UTD FC, the 20-year-old talent has committed to a three-year contract with Lugazi, binding him to the club until at least 2026.

FUFA Big League contender, Lugazi FC, has solidified their arsenal with the acquisition of the promising winger, Mungudit Freedom.

Mungudit's signing has unequivocally turned heads and set the stage for a riveting 2023/24 season.

Signed from Kampala's 4th division side, Kamwokya UTD FC, the 20-year-old talent has committed to a three-year contract with Lugazi, binding him to the club until at least 2026.

Expressing his exhilaration, Mungudit remarked, “I’m excited to be joining Lugazi FC. I’ve heard great things about the club."

"It’s a well-respected club with a rich history, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it. I’m also looking forward to experiencing a new culture and meeting new people.”

Mungudit has showcased his dynamism with the Kooki Ssaza team in the ongoing Buganda Masaza tournament, and has proven that he can command both flanks with finesse and precision.

He becomes the fourth addition to the squad this season, following the footsteps of Mubarak Mitala, Andrew Odong, and Samuel Nsubuga.

While the club has fortified its team with these additions, it hasn't been without its share of departures. The recent exodus saw nine players departing, a list which notably includes last season’s top scorer, Gerald Ogweti, and the impeccable goalkeeper, Anthony Emojong.

Others who've bid adieu during this transfer window include Bob Charles Akena, Farook Banga, Godfrey Bubi, David Kizza, Tito Titus Lubega, Ben Ntege, and Florence Watmon.

Coming off their maiden season in the Big League, where they tantalizingly teased promotion to the first division, Lugazi's ambitions are crystal clear.

Their previous performance saw them finishing fifth on the 15-team table, just a mere 13 points shy of the coveted promotion, garnering 44 points from 28 games. This season, they aren't leaving their aspirations to mere chance; they're making a deliberate statement.
