Gor Mahia tried hard but were held by spirited Murang'a Seal in a dull encounter.
In a game of few and far chances created between both sides, Murang’a Seal showed nerve to deny Gor Mahia three points in a barren draw played at the Kasarani Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Murang’a Seal were playing like they had come to Kasarani to collect just one point, as they defended with all their might as if their lives depended on it, setting up with two banks of four which denied the players space.

When Gor Mahia lost the title on the final day: 11 years since one of the most painful moments in K’Ogalo’s history
Gor Mahia fans are marking 11 years since they suffered one of the crushing moments when K’Ogalo failed to clinch the title on the final day, having been favourites all season
The biggest talking point was the disallowed goal that Benson Omala scored in the 35th minute that was ruled for offside as Murang’a Seal tried to make it difficult for Gor Mahia to create any goal-scoring opportunities.
Omala himself had another chance to score his eighth goal of the season in the second half when he found himself with acres of space before heading the ball just wide of the net.

FOOTBALL Omala among Gor Mahia trio called up to the Harambee Stars squad
Firat has named Benson Omala as one of three Gor Mahia players in his squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Gabon and Seychelles.
In stoppage time, Ochieng should have broken the deadlock when he found himself one-on-one with Seal goalkeeper Bonfas Munyasa, but he made an incredible save to keep the score tied at 0-0.
In the end, both sides would have to settle for the point, and it now means that Gor remain second on 22 points, while Seal remain third on the same amount of points, but with a slightly inferior goal difference.
