According to reliable sources at Kitende, the deal is close, and Kizza will join former KCCA FC teammate and close friend Allan Okello, who was unveiled on Thursday.

Uganda Cranes left-back Mustafa Kizza is moments away from joining Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC, Pulse Sports Uganda.

According to reliable sources at Kitende, the deal is close, and Kizza will join former KCCA FC teammate and close friend Allan Okello, who was unveiled on Thursday.

The former KCCA star will reportedly sign a two-year employment contract with the Venoms, at least till 2025.

Kizza, a product of KCCA's Academy, joined the latter as a teenager in 2015 and played for the development side until 2016.

He then joined Maroons FC on loan at the beginning of the 2016-17 season and later returned to KCCA FC in January 2017 and played for the senior team for three and a half years.

In July 2020, KCCA agreed with Montreal Impact, a Canadian professional soccer team based in Montreal, Quebec, to transfer the full-back.

Kizza later left Montreal Impact in 2021 and joined Arouca for the 2022/23 season in the Primeira Liga, Portugal, a spell cut midway through that campaign.

He then returned to KCCA for the remainder of last season, a short stint marred by injuries.

At Vipers, he will join new signings Okello, David Bagoole, Grant Matsiko, Richard Matovu, Mohamed Salem and Fumador Asiwome.
