The lack of goals which was also exhibited in the losses to UPDF FC (1-0) and URA FC (2-0), is becoming a huge point of concern for head coach Asaph Mwebaze.
"Today we tried to manage the game, but we are still very lethargic upfront," the visibly disheartened tactician conceded in a post-match interview at the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
"We didn't turn the screws on Villa where we could have. We even had an empty net, a few half chances that we could have scored but we didn't."
Bright Stars has been one of the most blunt sides in the league; their 16-goal tally is the lowest after Busoga United (12), Blacks Power (12) and Onduparaka FC, who are on 15.
"We have to work harder on how we can break down opposition defences and our finishing," noted Mwebaze.
The result left the Mwererwe based outfit flat in 10th with 24 points, and risk finishing the rest of the season under immense threat and pressure over relegation.
"The loss doesn't put us in a good position. We are in a bad position and so, we need to start to put points on board otherwise we could be drawn into a fight with sides battling relegation."
"We don't want to be involved in that, so we just need to work hard, get our heads straight and do the job," added Mwebaze.
Bright Stars will be hoping they can return to winning ways when they play host to Gaddafi FC on Friday at the Kavumba Recreation Grounds.
