Olympique Marseille legend Taye Taiwo celebrated the addition of a new signing to the club.
Super Eagles legend Taiye Taiwo has expressed excitement over Marseille’s signing of French international midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
Taiwo, now 39, is an Olympique Marseille legend. He was at the club from 2005 till 2011 and was a member of Didier Deschamps's squad that won Ligue 1 in the 2009/10 season.

The former Milan defender’s time at Marseille left an impression on a young Rabiot, and after signing for the club, he paid homage to the Nigerian football legend.
What Rabiot said
After his free transfer move to Les Olympiens, the Frenchman revealed how watching the one-time Champions League winners left an indelible mark on his memory.
He recalled how much he enjoyed watching the likes of Mamadou Niang, Taye Taiwo and Toifilou Maulida.
“When I was younger, I liked watching OM, when I was 10–12 years old when there was Mamadou Niang, Toifilou Maoulida, and Taye Taiwo. I liked watching Marseille, as I liked watching other teams,” the former Juventus midfielder said.

The four-time CAF Team of the Year defender reacted to Rabiot’s signing, first expressing his shock at the move, before wishing the 29-year-old success at the club.
“During the night, I saw that Rabiot was arriving at our place! I said to myself, did he make a mistake or what? I didn’t understand anything!” Taiwo said jokingly.
“I hope things will go well for him in Marseille. He’s a great player with great talent. We need him to make a difference. We expect a lot from you, my boy!”
