Nabadda intends to use the opportunity of officiating at a global stage to inspire the next generation of girls into refereeing.
Hugely erudite Ugandan female referee Shamirah Nabadda was selected among the match officials to oversee football matches at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Nabadda is among the 89 match officials selected by FIFA including 21 referees, 42 assistant referees, 20 video officials and six support referees.
Upon making the feat, she became the first female Ugandan referee to officiate in the history of the Olympics Games.

He last made the Zamalek match-day squad on February 29 on his debut as they beat Abu Salim 2-1 in the CAF Confederation Cup.
"I am humbled to represent CECAFA Region and be selected as a center referee to participate in the Olympics and represent women from our region," Nabadda was quoted by CECAFA Online.
"It's humbling to inspire many young girls who aspire to become referees on the global stage, following in our footsteps."

Nabadda has also become only the second Ugandan referee to officiate at the Olympics in history since Ali Tomusange in Sydney, Australia in 2000.

Meanwhile, over yet to be established reasons Mutyaba didn't make the squads for both quarterfinal bouts.
The other three include Moroccans Bouchra Karboubi, Jermoumi Fatiha along with Zambian Diana Chikotesha.
Previously, Nabadda has officiated at the 2022 Africa Women Cup of Nations and the CAF Women’s Champions League in 2023.
