The fixture brings together two Ugandan players in assistant Cranes captain Khalid Aucho and Cranes goalkeeper Ismael Watenga who feature for Young Africans and Marumo Gallants, respectively.

The CAF interclub competitions have reached the penultimate stage; for the CAF Confederations Cup, Tanzania's Young Africans will square off with South Africa's Marumo Gallants in one of the semifinals.

The fixture brings together two Ugandan players in assistant Cranes captain Khalid Aucho and Cranes goalkeeper Ismael Watenga who feature for Young Africans and Marumo Gallants, respectively.

Young African head coach Nasreddine Nabi has rallied the wanainchi to cheer on the team the entire game, even when his side doesn't have the ball.

"I would like to thank our fans for the support you have given us from the start until today,” Nabi stated in the pre-match press briefing.

“I ask you tomorrow, let's cheer for all the 90 minutes even when the team doesn't have the ball.”

"Let's not be silent; let's fight to cheer and give our players strength because this is not an easy game as many think,” Nabi added.

Both clubs will be playing in the competition's semifinals for the first time ever; Young Africans forward Fiston Mayele has been in top form, scoring five goals and adding an assist as they reached the semis.

Nabbi will be hoping Musonda (left), Aucho (Middle) and Mayele (left) inspire hios side past Gallants.

Aucho has featured in all but one game in the campaign, coming off the bench twice in the eight games the Tanzanian giants have played.

Ismael Watenga, on the other hand, has not featured in any continental game but has made the 18-man squad for most games, including travelling to Dar-es-Salaam.

Marumo Gallants have scored 14 goals but have struggled to keep clean sheets, leaking in 11 goals and managing only two in as many games.

'Tiimu ya Wanainchi', on the other hand, has been solid at the back, conceding only two goals and keeping five clean sheets while they scored 11 goals in as many games.

The game kicks off at 4 pm at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium in Dar-es-Salaam.
