It was a good weekend for Naija Stars Abroad led by Super Eagles main man Victor Osimhen and a Super Falcons star.

Naija Stars Abroad delivered another fine outing for their respective clubs led by a contingent of players based in Turkey, with Victor Osimhen the standout.

Osimhen continued his impressive performance at Galatasaray with another man-of-the-match display for the Lions in their top-of-the-table clash against Samsunspor.

A magical display saw the 25-year-old score a fantastic brace for the second consecutive match to inspire Galatasaray to another 3-2 win after they defeated Tottenham by the same score line in Europe.

Osimhen’s goals took his tally to eight in nine appearances across competitions, with six goals in six Super Lig matches.

Also in the Super Lig, it was a Nigerian show as Rizespor returned to winning ways at home to former champions Trabzonspor.

Super Eagles winger Olawoyin Ibrahim and his little-known compatriot Babajide David were the heroes as Rizespor defeated their visitors 3-1.

Olawoyin, who has been capped once by Nigeria, delivered his best performance of the season so far and was rewarded with his first goal of the campaign.

In France, Super Falcons star Ifeoma Onumonu seems to be in the form of her life for French side Montpellier.

After narrowly missing out on the Naija Stars Abroad’s Baller of the Week last time, Onumonu scored for the second successive match after her brace against compatriot Chiamaka Nnadozie’s Paris FC.

However, her heroics were not enough to guarantee a win or at least a point as the hosts replied with four goals.

Moses Simon remained ever-reliable for Nantes, but despite scoring a penalty and picking up an assist, Lens were too strong for him and his teammates in Ligue 1.

Newly invited Super Eagles defender Gabriel Osho featured from start to finish as Auxerre stopped high-flying Marseille and their manager Roberto De Zerbi in remarkable fashion.

In the Premier League, Alex Iwobi put on his playmaking boots to inspire Fulham at Selhurst Park, earning the praise of his manager.

The 10-man Crystal Palace lost 2-0 at home with Iwobi assisting the winner scored by Harry Wilson. He now has two assists and two goals in 11 matches this season.

Other Naija Stars Abroad

Samuel Chukwueze was a bright spot for AC Milan in their six-goal thriller at Cagliari while Player of the Year contender, Ademola Lookman, failed to score against Super Eagles teammate Maduka Okoye in Atalanta’s 2-1 win against Udinese.

Victor Boniface was relegated to the bench but managed 13 minutes for Bayer Leverkusen in a 1-1 draw at Bochum, with Kelechi Iheanacho suffering defeat with Sevilla at Leganes.
