Renowned politician Nathan Nandala Mafabi has committed to continue funding Mbale Heroes this season as they embark on a daring race to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
The Mbale City-based giants qualified for the FUFA Big League for this season and have set their eyes on promotion.
The club announced on Tuesday that the Forum for Democratic Party Secretary General, who has extended funds to the club for the last two seasons, is pumping even more.

The 2023/24 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season kicked off with a bang over the weekend.
"Thank you, FDC's SG (Secretary General) Nandala Mafabi, our Patron who has extended his financial support to Mbale Heroes Football Club," the club posted on X adding that Nandala is " ready to continue paying salaries for our players and technical team for third consecutive season and also paying for player's accommodation for second."

Nandala support comes in handy at a time when the club is going through a leadership transition from Wycliffe Mwambu, who was replaced by the new chairman Andrew Wambi, and his group tasked to ensure a smooth transition.
Mbale Heroes will kick off their FUFA Big League campaign on Tuesday next week with a home derby against Kataka FC at the Mbale City Stadium.
The team recently employed veteran coach Asaph Mwebaze to lead their promotion hunt.
