McTominay joins Napoli
McTominay made 255 appearances for United's first team, winning the FA Cup and League Cup on two occasions.
According to The Athletic, Manchester United will also receive a percentage of any future transfer fees for McTominay, who leaves with a year remaining on his contract.
Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen's proposed move to Chelsea remains uncertain after the player rejected the club's latest contract offer.
Negotiations are expected to continue as both parties aim to finalize the transfer before the 11 pm deadline
Osimhen has been holding out for a move to Chelsea, forcing Al Ahli to back out of a deal for the 25 year-old.
Al Ahli had always had a contingency plan in case Osimhen did not fancy a move to Saudi Arabia this summer, and quickly pressed on with the signing of Ivan Toney from Brentford.
