Ahead of their next fixture at the Pantami Stadium with Gombe United, the Solid Miners sit at the base of Group A with no points.
After three consecutive defeats in his side's opening games of the 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Nasarawa United manager Abubakar Arikya is facing a possible sack.
The Solid Miners currently sit at the base of Group A with no points having failed to win a game since the start of the season on January 8.
Their first game of the season saw United fall to a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Enyimba, before going away to fall to another 2-1 defeat to El-Kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri.
Their most recent fixture, saw them lose yet again at their temporal home - Jos - with Akwa United snatching away a 3-0 victory on Sunday.
Nasarawa United coach, the technical crew on performance ultimatum
Reacting to the club's performance, the Nasarawa State Government - sole owners of Nasarawa United stated they are being forced to come up with a compulsory measure to get the club to perform.
"Going by the results from our pre-season, we believed we have enough quality in the squad and Technical-know-how to finish among the top three from our Group," the state's sports commissioner Lucky Isaac Yargwa, said during an emergency meeting on Monday.
"But from recent outings in the league where we have lost all three games so far played, there is the urgency to do the needful before it becomes too late.
"Absorbed, we may be playing our home games away from home due to the repair works on our stadium. But we had done well in such conditions in the past.
"Consequently, we are placing the Management and Coaching Staff of the Club on a three-match requisition, beginning from the Club's next match away to Gombe United FC, on Sunday, 29th January.
"This is the practice, the world over, and not a witch-hunt. It's to set the records straight and get a reward for Government's huge investment in the team and reward the support of the teaming supporters", the Commissioner stressed.
