The Tunisian tactician watched as his charges conceded a goal in the first half but fought back to level the tie before they went on the back foot again in the game's final stages.
Young Africans head coach Nabi Nasreddine has praised his side's efforts during their 2-1 loss to USM Alger in the CAF Confederation Cup final first leg on Sunday at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium.
The Tunisian tactician watched as his charges conceded a goal in the first half but fought back to level the tie before they went on the back foot again in the game's final stages.
"We had a lot of chances with almost 62% possession against a compact defence, and I say nothing is finished; we have a culture of scoring away from home," Nabi said.
"There are 90 minutes left, and as long as we still have this chance, there is hope; it's difficult but not impossible."
"I can't promise that I will come back with the cup, but we will fight to turn the tide. We have the means to do this because we have already proven it," he added.
Young Africans scored six away goals en route to the final, scoring two goals at each stage: the group, quarter-finals, and the penultimate.
Fiston Mayele is the leading striker, but he has also got support from Kenneth Musonda, Bernard Morrison and Yahya Mudathir.

CAF CC It is not over yet for Young Africans, still have ninety minutes in Algeria – Mayele
The Young Africans in-form forward has issued a rallying call to the fans after his side lost 2-1 to USM Alger in the CAF Confederation Cup first leg on Sunday in Dar-es-Salaam.
The return leg is scheduled for June 3rd in Algiers; again, Nabi Nasreddine will be counting on Mayele to deliver, as was the case in Uhyo when his brace in Uhyo gave them an advantage in the quarter-final first leg.
