The win takes the Bugolobi side to the summit with 36 points as they await results from their competitors who are lined up for the evening fixtures.
National Enterprise Corporation recaptured the summit of the FUFA Big League temporarily following their 1-0 win over a ten-man Ndejje University at a waterlogged Bugolobi Coffee Grounds.
Marvin Kavuma scored the all-important goal with about ten minutes to go after being let loose inside the box.
NEC’s Michael Lukyamuzi had opted to start his trusted number nine on the wings to accommodate Geoffrey Sserunkuma upfront but the veteran striker was unable to prove his worth.
He was later substituted in the 70th minute for Joseph Ssewankambo as Kavuma switched to his usual position.
The changes were fruitful as Ssewankambo started a move with Gideon Odongo from the centre before setting a long ball to Kavuma who controlled and shot in his tenth goal of the season.
Minutes before Ndejje University had been reduced to ten after Kipper Luwalo was cautioned twice for a tackle and a verbal assault after the card was issued.
The win takes the Bugolobi side to the summit with 36 points as they await results from their competitors who are lined up for the evening fixtures.
