Uganda Premier League newbies NEC FC are upping their preparations for their first ever season in the topflight.
Having secured tactician Hussein Mbalangu as their new head coach, the Bugolobi based side are now in talks to sign Arua Hill SC duo of Allan Mugalu and Isaac Okello.
According to Swift Sports, the pair is high on NEC's wishlist and the club is confident of securing both deals.
Okello, who is a versatile defender, made 15 league appearances for the Leopards last season, forming a decent partnership with Rashid Toha in the games they both featured.
He has only spent a single season at the Barifa Stadium, having joined from nemesis Onduparaka FC at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
Meanwhile, Mugalu was one of the most exciting midfielders in the league in the preceding season and with his contract set to end in June, a move away could be on the verge.

Mugalu has played 39 league games for the Kongolo across two seasons, including 19 in the previous one (2022/22).
Should NEC secure the two, they will become the first ever signings for NEC in their history of the topflight.
