Newly promoted Uganda Premier League side NEC Football Club have unveiled former KCCA FC striker Brian Kayanja
The attacker has inked down a two-year employment contract to join the Bugolobi-based outfit.
This is in a bid by the Hussein Mbalangu coached side to have a resounding first season in the topflight.
Kayanja joined KCCA in 2021 on a three year contract from UPDF FC after scoring nine league goals, but failed to impress the bosses at Lugogo and had limited playing time.
He thus spent the second round of 2022/23 Startimes Uganda Premier League on loan at Premier League side Maroons FC.
Along with a host of other players, Kayanja was released by the Lugogo based outfit despite having a year left on his contract.
In a busy transfer window, NEC has already unveiled Ronald Owiny Ogenga from Calvary FC, John Paul Acire from Blacks Power, Allan Mugalu from Arua Hill, Ismael Maganda from Proline and Balyejusa Isaac from Luweero United.
Kayanja has previously featured for UPDF FC, Soltilo Bright Stars, Sofapaka FC, KCCA.
