Mbalangu emphasizes that Cromwell is a proven striker who is bound to significantly impact the league by scoring goals for his team.

Cromwel Rwothomio, a former Vipers and URA FC player joined the newly promoted NEC FC in September and scored his first goal against UPDF FC last Friday.

Mbalangu emphasizes that Cromwell is a proven striker who is bound to significantly impact the league by scoring goals for his team.

"I'm delighted with our recent victory against UPDF FC," Mbalangu told the club's media.

"It's a great feeling to return to winning ways. I'm also pleased that Cromwell Rwothomio and Enock Ssebagala opened their accounts."

"For Cromwell, it's only a matter of time before he adds more goals to his tally. Keep in mind that he didn't start the preseason with us."

"But he has managed to catch up with the rest. He's a talented and proven striker who will be a valuable asset up front," Mbalangu added.

NEC FC had a strong start, winning their first two games against Mbarara City FC and Busoga United. However, they suffered a 3-0 defeat to SC Villa.

Nonetheless, the team from Bugolobi bounced back with a 2-0 win over UPDF FC and currently holds the fourth position with nine points after four rounds of games.

Next on the agenda for Hussein Mbalangu's team is a short trip to Lugogo to face the struggling KCCA FC on Thursday.

KCCA FC, the Kasasiro boys, are facing one of the worst starts to a campaign in the club's history, having lost all four league games consecutively.

Reports suggest that Sergio Traguil's tenure may be ending, with Jackson Magera poised to take over on an interim basis.
