English Premier League table leaders Arsenal FC showed character as they fought back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against Bournemouth on Saturday evening at the Emirates stadium in London.

Reiss Nelson's 97th winner for the Gunners in a one-sided game in the first half, with Philip Billing and Marco Senesi scoring for the visitors in either half.

However, Arsenal clawed back in the game with goals from Thomas Partey and Ben White before a stunner from Nelson with the last kick of the game.

Arsenal's five-point lead is restored at the summit of the table, but they almost ceded ground, mainly because Manchester City had earlier in the day beat Newcastle 2-0.

The table leaders now move to 63 points, while second-placed Manchester City sit on 58.

In a related development, Wesly Fofana's strike was enough to earn Chelsea maximum points against Leeds and ease some pressure on manager Graham Potter.

Tottenham's misery continued following their 1-0 loss to Wolves.
