Josef Martinez has claimed he buried the hatchet with new FC Montreal teammate Victor Wanyama after both players were sent off for being involved in a burst-up three years ago
Josef Martinez has finally addressed his clash with new CF Montreal teammate Victor Wanyama, which ultimately led to both players being sent off three years ago.
Montreal were playing against Atlanta United in a game that ended in a 2-2 draw. With eight minutes remaining, both players were dismissed after being involved in a physical altercation, with Wanyama placing his hands around Martinez's neck.
Now, the Venezuelan, who has scored 105 career MLS goals, has revealed that both players agreed to bury the hatchet immediately after the match.
"It's soccer man. In the field, it’s a fight. He defends his color. I defend my color,” Martinez said as quoted on MLS.
