Lookman, Osimhen, Boniface snubbed as Jude Bellingham top list of 'world's most valuable' footballers
Ballon d'Or favourite Bellingham has maintained his lead as the world's most valuable footballer in 2024, ahead of the Champions League final this weekend.
However, it looks more likely that the deal will not go through as Maresca looks to keep Lukaku at Chelsea.
Maresca put hold on Osimhen and Lukaku deal
Romelu Lukaku appears to be keen on joining Serie A powerhouse Napoli in the summer in a possible trade with Victor Osimhen, but the deal looks to be on hold.
However, it looks like the deal will be blocked by the new Chelsea Maresca, who seems to fancy Lukaku in his team.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TMW), Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca doesn't appear excited about a trade, nor does he seem to be considering making Victor Osimhen his first summer transfer acquisition. As such, the move is on hold for the time being.
Napoli's approach to the transfer window will suffer as a result of their inability to sell Osimhen. They intended to use the proceeds from the sale to buy other players and advance in the market while strengthening their squad.
According to reports, Osimhen also fancies a move to Arsenal, but the Gunners haven't exactly made a bid for him.
Paris Saint-Germain are rumoured to be interested in Osimhen as well, but they haven't made a move for him yet.
