Former KCCA FC striker Anaku has so far featured in the two games Goodwin has been in charge of, the 1-1 with Livingston and a 3-1 defeat to Aberdeen.
New Dundee United coach Jim Goodwin is impressed by Ugandan Sadat Anaku's blistering pace.
The former Aberdeen FC head coach was appointed as the new Dundee United FC manager a fortnight ago.
Former KCCA FC striker Anaku has so far featured in the two games Goodwin has been in charge of, the 1-1 with Livingston and a 3-1 defeat to Aberdeen.
"He has the pace and is positive with the ball. I have seen good things from him, and he has given us food for thought," Goodwin was quoted by Evening Telegraph.
The 22-year-old who is yet to score for Dundee missed a glorious opportunity against Livingston but won a penalty against Aberdeen.
"(Sadat) is a young lad who is very raw. He needs a lot of coaching and to understand the game better."
Goodwin added: "The most important thing is that he is a good player, coachable and willing to learn, and he will continue to improve."
Anaku's move to Dundee earned him a slot in the recently summoned Uganda Cranes squad.
He is part of the 30 players provisionally summoned squad ahead of the doubleheader against Tanzania in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Anaku's Dundee are bottom of the 12-team log with 21 points from 28 games and will host St. Mirren on Saturday, March 18.
Uganda will host Tanzania first at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Egypt on March 24, whilst the second leg will be played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on March 28.
