The Nigerian Football Federation paid a condolence visit to former Super Eagles star Tijani Babangida, who lost his son and brother, another Nigeria international Ibrahim Babangida following a devastating auto crash that claimed both their lives.
NFF Extends Condolences to Babangida family
In response to the heartbreaking news, the NFF expressed its deepest sympathies to Tijani and his family with President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, along with NFF Executive Committee member Timothy Heman Magaji and General Secretary Dr Mohammed Sanusi, paying a condolence visit to the former Ajax forward to offer support and solidarity during this difficult time.
During the visit, the NFF delegation met with Tijani Babangida at a hospital in Abuja, where he was receiving treatment following the accident. They conveyed heartfelt condolences for the loss of his brother and son, while also praying for the swift recovery of Babangida and his wife, Maryam, who underwent facial surgery and remains in intensive care at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Zaria.
