Shola Shoretire joins Bolton on loan
The loan move to Bolton is Shoretire's first time away from Manchester United in his career having gone through the youth teams and made his first-team debut in 2021.
Shoretire will wear the number 17 for Bolton who currently sit fifth in League One as they aim to return to the Championship this season.
“Coming here at 18 I’m transitioning into the men’s game, which is exactly what I needed. Hopefully, I will have a good loan here and it will put me in a good place," the player said about the move.
“For me the club belongs in the Premier League and hopefully next season the Championship. “They’re in a very good position right now to go for promotion. The team has been winning a lot. I have been keeping track and it’s just made me more excited to get here," the forward continued.
The teenage forward has made five senior appearances for United since his debut in February 2021 but opportunities have been at a premium of late and he is yet to make a competitive appearance under Ten Hag.
He made history when he broke Norman Whiteside's record to become the youngest player to represent United in European competition a year ago, doing so at the age of 17 years and 23 days when he came on in the second half of a goalless draw with Real Sociedad.
