Nigeria's Super Eagles are well-stocked despite the absence of six European contingent led by Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Super Eagles camp in Marrakech, Morocco is beginning to take shape, with 16 players already hitting ground ahead of the crucial friendly clashes against Ghana and Mali.

However, head coach Finidi George is still awaiting the arrival of several key European-based stars, with no fewer than six players including Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Francis Uzoho and Frank Onyeka.

Chidozie Awaziem and Bright Osayi-Samuel are the other players yet to link up with the rest of the squad as of the latest update from the Nigerian camp on Instagram.

AFCON Hero Nwabali Leads Early Arrivals

Among those who have made it to Morocco are AFCON 2023 hero Stanley Nwabali, returnees Cyriel Dessers and Nathan Tella, plus the recalled Jamilu Collins.

Sadiq Umar, Ademola Lookman and one of two new faces in Benjamin Tanimu have also joined up as Nigeria ramp up preparations for the double-header against their West African rivals.

While the absence of the England and Serie A contingent is notable, Finidi still has a well-stocked squad at his disposal for these crucial build-up games.

The interim head coach will be keen to integrate his overseas-based talents smoothly once they arrive over the coming days ahead of the Ghana opener on March 22.
