However, there are doubts whether Amokachi will take his place on the bench when the Super Eagles take on the Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Friday night.
According to Oga Nla Media, Amokachi has reportedly turned down NFF’s offer as he is not satisfied with the terms of the contract.
Reports claim that unlike Finidi, who will receive a monthly wage, Amokachi and the rest of the backroom staff will be paid on a game-by-game basis.
However, Amokachi is not willing to agree to the terms and has turned down NFF’s offer. It remains to be seen if the former Everton man will still stake his place on the bench, but the distraction is not what Finidi needs as he prepares for his first competitive match as Super Eagles boss.
