Real Madrid are not the only club trying to sign Kylian Mbappe with Nigerian club Sporting Lagos hinting interest on X
Sporting Lagos casually courted Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe, who recently announced that he will be leaving the Ligue 1 giants at the end of the season.
Sporting Lagos looking for Mbappe opportunity
Mbappe, in a video to PSG fans officially announced his departure from the club after seven years at the club as well as numerous trophies won and records set with Les Parisiens.
In his video, Mbappe also hinted at his next move, stating that he was about to leave his native France for the first time in his career, opening the door to a move to a club abroad.
Lagos-based side, Sporting Lagos, playing in their first-ever season in the NPL also took this as a sign that Mbappe could be willing to join them when he leaves PSG this summer.

Sporting Lagos quoted Mbappe’s announcement video on X with the “👀” emoji, light-heartedly stooking rumours that they want to make a push for the France international.
Sporting Lagos vs Real Madrid
Despite Sporting Lagos’ interest in Mbappe, the French striker is more likely to end up in the Spanish LaLiga with Real Madrid, who have been long-time admirers and are in pole position to land his signature this summer.
According to reports, Mbappe and Real Madrid have already agreed terms of a lucrative contract to bring the 25-year-old star to the Bernabeu in the summer when his spell with PSG ends, dashing Sporting Lagos’ hopes of a blockbuster singing, at least for now.
