St. Lawrence University and Asubo Gafford ladies won the men's and women's FUFA Beach SOccer Leagues, respectively.
The 2022/23 FUFA Beach Soccer League cannot pass as one of the best seasons that have thrilled those who love the sand games.
St. Lawrence University once again strolled to the title without much resistance, save for the three games they played against newbies Jinja Lions in both the regular season and playoffs.
A number of the fanatics of the game did not even realise that a women’s league was played as well.
Well Asubo Gafford Ladies turned up and crowned the champions after running over Gomba Ladies 7-4 in the finals.
ST. Lawrence also escaped the paws of the Jinja Lions to earn their record-fifth trophy of the season.

But every cloud has a silver lining; It was not all gloomy.
After being thrown out of the national team, Jinja Lions’ Nicholas Mwere was unmatched in the league scoring a whopping 36 goals.
His competition with SLAU’s duo Brian Nkuubi and Baker Lukooya provided the spark that lit the otherwise gloomy league.
In fact, any of the three teams could’ve been named the best player of the season, but Nkuubi piped Mwere as he ousted Lukooya, who was the reigning king.
In the women's front, Fatumah Nakasamba was crowned the best after guiding Asubo to the crown, as SHamirah Birungi’s 24 goals for Gomba earned her the golden boot.
