Nigeria's Chiamaka Nnadozie has been one of the standout goalkeepers at the FIFAWWC in New Zealand and Australia and was in top form again against England.

England star Chloe Kelly has warmed her way into the hearts of football fans after a remarkable moment of sportsmanship shown to Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie.

Kelly was one of the stars who stole the show in the FIFAWWC round of 16 clash between Nigeria and England at the Brisbane Stadium on Monday.

England, number four in the world, faced Nigeria, 36 places below them, but that hardly showed on the pitch as the Super Falcons dominated the explosive round of 16 clash.

Nigeria created the best chances in the game, hitting the woodwork on two occasions while Nnadozie was relatively on holiday against the Lionesses, who finished the game with 10 players after Lauren James was red-carded late on for a bizarre stamp on Michelle Alozie.

With nothing to separate both sides after extra time, England went on to claim the victory to process to the quarterfinals following the shootout.

Nigeria lost two of their spot kicks while England converted four of theirs to seal the win.

After England’s victory was confirmed, Kelly walked up to a tearful Nnadozie to console her and stopped the FIFAWWC cameraman who tried to film the emotional moment captured by X.com user, Charlotte Patterson.

It was a moment of remarkable sportsmanship from the City star, who was joined in by some of her England teammates.
