The winners of all 8 NNL groups are expected to vie for places in the NPFL in a Super 8 playoff at the end of the season.
While teams continued to get relegated from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Sunday, second-division group leaders such as Heartland, Sporting Lagos, Kastina United and Calabar Rovers either won or drew, continuing their surge towards promotion.
The NNL, divided into two conferences of four groups will see the 8 winners proceed to a Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 playoff at the end of the regular season, to decide what four sides will head to the NPFL.
