Luis Enrique has given a surprise response when revealing the most influential player in world football.
PSG boss Luis Enrique has snubbed the regular big names while picking the world's most influential footballer at the moment.
The 53-year-old ex-Barcelona boss who has coached the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar, Luis Suarez, Kylian Mbappe, and many more, gave a surprise response while speaking ahead of PSG's UEFA Champions League clash against Newcastle.
Enrique picks Dembele over Messi, Mbappe
Enrique said: "I keep insisting on my point: Ousmane Dembele is the most influential football player in the world. No doubts."
The former Spain boss then went on to praise Dembele's fearless approach to the game, applauding his resilience in the face of mistakes, and his ability to ignore criticism.
“He doesn’t care about mistakes. He keeps going, he loves to try. He doesn’t listen to criticism… he always generates good things”.
This is heavy praise for Dembele, considering the French winger has only found the net once since arriving from Barcelona.
