Pulse Sports reported that Remo defeated Moroccan side AS Far 2-1 in the first leg of the CAFCL preliminary round.
The Sky Blues dominated proceedings in Ikenne, with Sodiq centre-stage; the fullback delivered an inch-perfect cross that skipper Nduka towered above everyone to head home for the opener.
AS FAR didn’t go down without a fight as they equalised moments later with a fantastic header of their own after the break.
Sodiq reminded everyone of Robin Van Persie's goal against Spain at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He scored a superb headed goal to win all three points for Remo Stars.
However, Daniel Ogunmodede has reacted by saying that the victory is nothing but a payback. He said: "They gave us our first defeat in the continent and we are happy we gave them back this time around."
