In a rescheduled top-of-the-table clash in Group B of the abridged NPFL season, Wasiu Alalade and Lobi Stars shone like stars against 10-man Champions Rivers United.
Lobi and Rivers delivered a five-goal thriller as the host came from behind to seal all three points at the New Jos Stadium on Wednesday.
Alalade joined Lobi from fellow NPFL side Kwara United just before the start of the second stanza of the abridged season.

The top-of-the-table clash was one that could have seen the defending champions return to first place in Group B.
The Nigerian Youth International is also a former league champion after he lifted the title with Aba giants Enyimba International back in the 2018/2019 campaign.
Alalade scores debut goal
As reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria, Lobi sealed a late 3-2 win at home over the defending champions to open a six-point lead at the top of the group.
The 23-year-old was one of the heroes of the day for the Pride of Benue in their adopted home.

The goal arrived four minutes from time but it didn't last as United hit back with an equaliser at the death thanks to Nyima Nwangwa.
However, Elijah Ani stole the show when he netted the winner with the last kick of the match to give Lobi all three points.
