The Pride of Benue lead Group B having won four and kept clean sheets in all of their last five matches in the NPFL.
Group B leaders Lobi Stars will welcome Dakkada FC to their adopted home in Jos, Plateau State, on Sunday for a week seven encounter in the NPFL.
This particular fixture will see the home side look to take advantage of the absence of the defending champions, Rivers United, to extend their lead at the top of the table.
United will not be playing in the NPFL this game week as they are away in Brazzaville on continental duties in the CAFCC.
Lobi Stars’ form
Baba Ganaru has been working his magic with the Benue side following a brilliant run of games.
After a shaky start that saw them fall to a narrow defeat in Port Harcourt Rivers United, Lobi have bounced back emphatically.
They have put together an impressive unbeaten run of five matches, winning four of them and keeping five clean sheets en route to the top of the table in Group B.
Lobi will welcome Dakkada later today well aware that they could go three points clear if they can see off the Uyo side with another impressive win.
Dakkada are in trouble
Things are not going well for the visitors who find themselves in a precarious position heading into this encounter.
The Uyo side is currently languishing around relegation having taken just four points from a possible 24 this season in the league.
Dakkada have also managed to lose four of their last four matches, conceding eight goals. Things are red for the Orange side.
Head-to-head
Based on their previous matches, things are not looking bright at all for Dakkada and it could get worse later today in Jos.
In their last five matches against Lobi, they have only managed to win one game and lost three of them, including a narrow defeat the last time they visited Lobi Stars.
Men to watch out for
Once again, Lobi Stars hold all the aces with three players in superb form. Local boy, Kumaga Suur, who was scouted in the streets of Benue just before the start of the season, leads this list.
Suur has scored three goals in six matches and he is closely followed by teammates, Abba Umar and Joseph Atule, who have scored two goals apiece.
