Rangers Int'l's manager Fidelis Ilechukwu says the club remains hopeful despite a bad day at the office against Rivers United in the NPFL.
Rangers International manager Fidelis Ilechukwu was left to lament a "very, very bad day" for his side after they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Rivers United in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) title race.
Despite remaining top of the table, the Flying Antelopes' loss to their title rivals has put their title ambitions under pressure.

Ilechukwu Laments NPFL Defeat
The former MFM and Plateau United gaffer, Ilechukwu, was honest in his assessment of the Flying Antelopes, admitting that they lost the game fairly.
“We lost it, it wasn’t a good game for us. Very, very bad day,” Ilechukwu told the club media moments after the game in Port Harcourt.
The Rangers boss pointed to defensive errors as a key factor in the defeat, acknowledging that so many errors in the defence line allowed Rivers United to take advantage.
Ilechukwu also highlighted the physical challenge posed by the hosts, stating that their tall players gave them a big advantage.
“So many errors in the defence line and Rivers had the advantage of tall, tall players - very big advantage against us and also played better today,” he said “They deserved the win because they created a lot of chances against us.”
However, the experienced coach refused to be downbeat, insisting that hope is not lost at all in Rangers' quest for the NPFL title. He believes in what his Antelopes can still achieve in the next games despite losing two of their last three league matches.
“We need to go back home, but hope is not lost at all,” he added. “We still believe in what we can achieve in the next games.”
With Enyimba, the defending champions, also dropping points, Rangers remain top of the table, two points clear.
The Rangers coach and his players will now turn their attention to their next fixture, a home game against his former employers Plateau United, as they look to bounce back from this setback and reassert their title credentials.
The manager's honest assessment of his team's performance, coupled with his confident belief in their ability to succeed, could prove crucial in rallying the Antelopes and their supporters in the hunt for the NPFL title
