The former FA boss explains the need to rally support for the club as they hope to wrap up the season by winning the title.

Former Football Kenya Federation (FKF) president Sam Nyamweya has called upon leaders where Shabana FC enjoy massive support to come out and support the club during their last match of the National Super League (NSL) season.

Tore Bobe have a date with destiny as they will host Kisumu All Stars on Saturday. Only a win will be enough for Shabana to beat Murang'a Seal to the title with the latter having a superior goal difference of two goals.

"We are inviting the two governors from our region, the top leadership in government, members of parliament and county assemblies, and local politicians to grace this historic moment. It will be the day I am hoping we will put aside all our political differences and support Shabana," Nyamweya said.

"Already, we have ensured there will be maximum security for all those leaders and fans who will be in attendance. The match will be played in a very friendly and celebratory atmosphere."

The experienced football administrator also recalled what the club underwent, and what it has achieved as they look to participate in the Premier League in the 2023/24 season.

"Shabana have already achieved so much this season by winning a ticket to return to the Kenyan Premier League, where we were once a revered club," he added.

"But the match on Saturday will be very important because it will climax a season that the players and the technical staff have given their best to take this great club from the Gusii community back to the top-flight league, and they will be gunning to ice this achievement by winning the title."

Should Shabana win the title on their own turf, it would be a perfect way to crown the season and reward their fans who have stood with them since they were relegated in 2006.
