The Ogun State Chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has urged the state-based Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Remo Stars to pick a Continental ticket.
The Remo Stars defeated Kwara United 4-0 at the Remo Stars Stadium on Sunday to confirm their status at the NPFL Super Six.
In a congratulatory message signed by Secretary Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji, the Apex Sports Writers in Ogun State praised the team's tenacity.
The message added that they hope that Remo Stars will perform well in the qualifying rounds and secure a spot to represent the nation in the continental tournament, which would once again put Ogun State on the map of the world.
According to the message, "Ogun SWAN congratulated the management and technical staff of Remo Stars Football Club, Ikenne-Remo, for the club's qualification for the Super six play-off.
"The team's qualification for the NPFL Super 6 was not by sheer luck, but by the hard work, dedication, and commitment of both players, technical staff, and management of the club to redefine football management in Nigeria and put the state on the world map again.
