Former Super Eagles captain Austin Jay-Jay Okocha has raised a few eyebrows after revealing the top five players he played with during his career.
Okocha played with many great players during a remarkable career, which spanned almost 20 years.
Okocha's impressive career
The former Nigeria international, known for his amazing dribbling skills and magic on the ball, played for different football clubs during his career.
Okocha started his top-flight journey in Europe with Eintracht Frankfurt before joining Fenerbahce in Turkey.
After two years in Turkey, Okocha signed for Paris Saint-Germain in 1998 for a then-African record fee.
He spent four years in Paris before joining Bolton Wanderers, where he achieved a cult-hero status.
During his time at these clubs and in the national team with the Super Eagles, Okocha played with many brilliant players, making it difficult for him to choose the best players he played with.
Okocha names Barcelona legend Ronaldinho and ex-Gunner Kanu in top five
Still, the Olympic gold medalist was able to narrow the best players he played with to five. In an exclusive interview with Pulse Sports, Okocha admitted that it was a difficult question to answer, but named the likes of Ronaldinho and Youri Djorkaeff.
When asked about the best players he played with, Okocha said: “ Wow, that’s a tough one because some of my friends will not be happy with me.

“But number one on my list will be Ronaldinho. Okocha and Ronaldinho spent time together at PSG before the Nigerian joined Bolton, a year before Ronaldinho left for Barcelona.
“And then Kanu of course. I liked the way Kanu played,” Okocha said about the former Arsenal man, whom he played with during their time together in the national team.
Okocha also named his ex-Bolton teammate Djorkaeff and Super Eagles colleagues Daniel Amkocahi and Uche Okechukwu in his top five.
“Then Youri Djokaeff, the French World Cup winner and I’ll say Amokachi because we were roommates as well,” he added.

“And the last person is one of the underrated defenders I’ve played with Uche Okechukwu,” he concluded.
Okocha retired from football in 2008 after a short spell with Hull City.
