William Saliba, an Arsenal defender, has been praised for his talent by fellow teammate Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Saliba signed with the North London club in the summer of 2018, and he later had three successful loan stints in Ligue 1

The French international eventually played his first game for the Gunners last season and never looked back, starting the first 27 Premier League games of the season before eventually suffering a lower back injury.

Zinchenko, who joined Arsenal from Man City last season has been impressed by the Frenchman and likened him to a Rolls-Royce.

Zinchenko speaks on Saliba’s quality

Zinchenko has been pleased with what he has seen from Saliba in training and hailed him during an interview.

The outstanding centre-back committed to a new, long-term deal at the Emirates Stadium, giving Mikel Arteta's team a big boost as they aim to contend with Manchester City for the title this new season.

Zinchenko has now acknowledged that, before joining from City last summer, he was unfamiliar with the young player.

According to Football London, the Ukrainian left-back responded to a question regarding Saliba on the FIVE YouTube channel by saying, "Rolls-Royce. So good, I love him so much.

“I’ll be honest with you, I didn’t know him before I came to Arsenal. When I saw him from the training sessions, I said: “Who is this guy?”.

"Then the first game against Chelsea, pre-season, zero mistakes. This guy never makes mistakes.

"Then he scored the goal with the left foot against Bournemouth. I went to my knees because I said this guy. I said, this guy, he can do everything. He can do everything."

Zinchenko is still out injured for Arsenal and has not featured in any preseason friendly, however, he could return before the start of the new season.
