The striker has scored six goals for the Soldiers this season
Ulinzi Stars hitman Hillary Simiyu has cast his thoughts on his side's big clash against Gor Mahia in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL).
Ulinzi will face K'Ogalo at the Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off set for 3 PM.
Simiyu has been one of the key players in Bernard Mwalala's squad this season, having scored six goals this campaign.
"We are well prepared to face Gor Mahia and expect a good result. We will deal with them as men.
In our last match, we were held to a draw by Bidco United. We created more chances in that game, but our coach told us to be patient and clinical in front of the goal," he said.
Simiyu also opened up about his impressive goalscoring form this season, saying he wants to be the top scorer in the league.
"What keeps me going is that we work as a team, and the technical bench has motivated me.
I am pushing to add my tally to ten goals by the end of the first leg. Personally, I want to be the league's top scorer this season and help the team win the premier league trophy," he added.
Simiyu joined Ulinzi Stars in August 2021 from Nzoia Sugar after finishing as the Sugar Millers' top goal scorer in the 2020/2021 season.
The 25-year-old forward made his Ulinzi Stars debut against his former side on the opening day of the 2021/2022 FKF Premier League season.
Ulinzi Stars are placed seventh on the FKF Premier League table with 24 points from 15 matches played this season.
