The sixteen-time Dstv Premiership champions have moved their preseason camp to the Netherlands as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.

Former Uganda Cranes captain Denis Onyango is part of the team amidst speculation about his future at the club. However, the gangly shot-stopper is expected to extend his stay at the club.

“We have engaged with some warm and welcoming people who love football, the facilities are excellent, we’ve got two perfect training pitches and access to the gym,” Rulani told Sundowns media.

“The training sessions have been great, the intensity will be good with some opponents, and we’re looking forward to finalising our preseason with tough games against good opponents,” he added.

Masandawana are expected to face Dutch top-flight side Sparta Rotterdam on 25th July before facing Dutch second-division side NAC Breda three days later.

The Brazilians have made four additions, with two South Americans in, Lucas Ribeiro Costa and Junior Mendieta. At the same time, Lesiba Nku and Thapelo Maseko are the two South African internationals snapped up.

The Brazilians hope to retain the league for a seventh consecutive time and reclaim the CAF Champions League for the first time since 2016.

The Dstv Premiership gets underway on 4th August with Sundowns facing Sekhukhune United.
