Super Eagles star Gift Orban has been banned for the next two games and fined €1,500 following his dismissal in Gent’s 2-1 win over Eupen on Sunday evening.

Orban is getting ready to play for Nigeria in their final AFCON qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe, but he could have played for Togo or Benin Republic.
Orban was sent off in the fourth minute of added time of the first half for shoving an Eupen defender during an attacking play.
Orban to miss Gent's next two games
The 20-year-old was given a straight red card by the referee just before the break. Although Orban acknowledged his wrongdoing by apologising to Gent fans on his way out, the Super Eagles prospect’s dismissal has come at a cost for Gent.
Orban is set to miss Gent’s next two league games, starting with the clash against Royal Antwerp on Wednesday night.
The Super Eagles invitee will also miss the clash against RWDM on Sunday, October, 1, but will be back for the Europa League clash against Maccabi Tel-Aviv.
Orban has also been handed a fine of €1,500 for his misconduct.
Orban looking to recapture his form
Orban’s latest dismissal adds to his woes, having started the season in fine form. The former Staebek star has scored six goals in all competitions this season but has been on a poor run of form in recent games.
Orban has not scored in his last three league games and has just one in his last four. The Nigerian striker is yet to open his account in the UEFA Europa Conference League group stages, although he scored four in the Qualifiers.
