Former Uganda Cranes left-back Godfrey Walusimbi needs no introduction to Kenyan football, especially with Kenyan record league champions Gor Mahia.
The now-retired former Uganda Cranes international, who spent four seasons with K'Ogalo, congratulated his former side for winning the league, saying it was a long time coming.
"As a former player and Gor Mahia fan, I congratulate them upon winning the title,” Walusimbi told Pulse Sports.
“Gor Mahia games aren't easy; I know it's been tough for the players and fans who have waited two years for the title."
"It's a long time for a club like Gor not to win the league because they're always eager to win everything that comes their way, but I also know it's never a walk in the park,” Walusimbi added.
Walusimbi who made 12 appearances for the Kenyan giants in the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup, cautioned Gor Mahia to be more organized this time if they want to go as far in the CAF Champions League.

McKinstry, who took over at K'Ogalo in July 2022, says the players endured many challenges on and off the pitch to put up a show and become league champions.
"On the continent, you compete with clubs that are far better prepared and are competing, not just participating; the player recruitment has to be on point; I hope they get it right; I wish them the best,” Walusimbi added.
His four seasons at Gor Mahia earned him three league titles and three domestic cups.
The former roving left-back was also part of the 2015 league triumph as K'Ogalo went unbeaten, winning 24 games and drawing six.
