Former Vipers SC winger Ibrahim Orit is high on the wishlist of Uganda Premier League newbies Kitara Football Club.
A source close to the player has highlighted the player is a top target for Kitara and that a move is imminent.
Following the completion of last season, Orit left the Venoms after three years, having joined them from Mbarara City FC in 2020.
The Uganda Cranes player is currently a free agent which eases the process of negotiations between the two parties.
Across three seasons at the St Mary's Stadium Kitende, Orit featured 55 times (16 in the last campaign) in the league where he scored seven goals.
The player, who can also play at right-back, will join the Hoima based side both a two-time Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup winner.
Kitara is looking at making a strong Premier League return as they bolster their squad with experienced acquisitions.
To make the topflight, they scooped the 2022/23 FUFA Big League trophy, beating both runners-up Mbarara City FC and NEC FC, who finished third.
